Packaging design
Packaging for Germany
German customers value quality, precision and honesty, and expect packaging to be well made and not wasteful. Mixed materials and plastic fillers can draw criticism, and packaging registration and take-back fees reward simple, paper-based packaging. We design rigid boxes and mailers with card inserts that are easy to separate and recycle.
Many German brands sell across the EU and Switzerland, so we plan for multi-language back panels, typically German plus other EU languages, from the first concept.
German retail and marketplace buyers tend to be detailed about specifications: board grades, dimensions, carton counts and pallet configurations. We supply clear specification sheets for every box, and can provide material data for packaging registration. For gifting and seasonal ranges, Christmas markets and Advent are major peaks.

Labelling and compliance
Labelling in Germany
Germany applies EU labelling rules, such as the Food Information to Consumers Regulation and the Cosmetics Regulation, with mandatory information in German. Under the Packaging Act (VerpackG), businesses that place packaged goods on the German market generally must register in the LUCID packaging register and join a take-back system.

- Who pays EU import VAT and duty?
