A cosmetic packaging designer who also runs the factory
Most beauty brands work with a cosmetic packaging designer on one side and a printer on the other, then spend weeks fixing artwork that looked right on screen and printed wrong. We do both under one roof. The designer working on your carton sits a few metres from the press that prints it, so foil areas, spot UV layers and colour targets are set up for the machines that will actually run them.
That changes the work in practical ways. We know which board takes a deep deboss without cracking, how much a soft-touch laminate shifts a pale pink, and how small a gold foil line can go before it fills in. You get a design that is beautiful and also producible, without a round of compromises at proof stage.
Luxury cosmetic packaging without the luxury guesswork
Luxury cosmetic packaging is mostly about restraint and finish. A heavier rigid box, a magnetic closure that shuts with a soft click, one precise foil mark and plenty of empty space usually say more than a crowded front panel. We design the structure and the graphics together so the box feels expensive before the customer reads a word.
For mid-market lines the same thinking applies at a different price point. A well-chosen tuck end carton with a single finish can look considered and still work at volume. We show you both options on 3D mockups with indicative costs, so you can choose the level of finish that suits your margin rather than guessing.
Cosmetic packaging and labeling as one system
Cosmetic packaging and labeling have to agree with each other. The carton, the jar or bottle label, the tube and the mailer should share type, colour and hierarchy, so a customer recognises your brand from any angle. We design the whole set together and match colours across different substrates, which is harder than it sounds when one item is coated board and another is a clear film label.
Ranges need a system, not a collection of one-off designs. We set a fixed layout for the name, the variant, the claims and the ingredient panel, then use a colour or pattern code for each shade or scent. Adding a new SKU later takes days instead of a fresh design project.
Working with a cosmetic packaging design agency, step by step
You send the product, its sizes, the market and a few references. We reply with questions and a fixed quote, then present first concepts on realistic 3D mockups, usually within 48 hours of an agreed brief. One direction is developed across every panel and variant, and final artwork is built on the real dieline with all finish layers separated.
Ingredient lists, claims and warnings take space, so we plan the back and side panels early rather than squeezing them in at the end. The wording itself comes from you or your regulatory adviser; we lay it out clearly and check legibility at actual size. When the digital proof is approved, production can follow in our factory from 500 units.
