Liquor label design that tells your story
A good liquor label is a small piece of storytelling. Where the spirit is made, how it is made, and why it tastes the way it does can all be suggested through type, illustration, paper and finish. We help you decide what to say on the front and what to save for the back or the neck.
Paper and print matter as much as layout. Textured wine papers, metallic foils, embossing and tactile varnishes all change how a label feels in the hand. We specify these with your label printer in mind and supply files with every finish on its own layer.
Liquor labeling and required information
Liquor labeling carries required information such as product type, alcohol content and volume, plus other statements that vary by country. These rules affect where text sits and how large it must be, so we plan the label layout around them from the start.
We lay out the wording you supply; we do not decide what is legally required. Your adviser or importer should confirm the text for each market, and our compliance guides explain the main points to discuss with them.
TTB beverage labeling for the US market
If you sell alcohol in the US, most labels must be approved by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) through a Certificate of Label Approval, or COLA, before the product is sold. TTB beverage labeling rules cover mandatory statements, their placement and minimum type sizes.
We design labels with the TTB's requirements in mind and supply clean, accurate files for your submission. The application itself, the final wording and any changes the TTB requests are handled by you or your adviser. We can make revisions quickly if changes are needed.
Gift boxes and presentation for spirits and wine
Premium spirits and wine often sell in a gift box or tube. We design and make rigid presentation boxes, lid-and-base boxes, magnetic boxes and tubes in our own factory, with inserts cut to hold your bottle securely. Inserts are cut to your bottle dimensions and shown on a 3D mockup before production.
The process starts with your bottle, range and markets. We reply with questions and a fixed quote, present concepts on 3D mockups, usually within 48 hours of an agreed brief, and deliver label files for your printer plus gift boxes from 500 units.
