Packaging design
Packaging for Mexico
Mexican brands in mezcal, tequila, coffee, chocolate and beauty are growing at home and abroad. Food and drink packaging must plan for warning octagons on the front. We design spirits labels and gift boxes, and food packaging that stays on brand around the seals.
Designed for Mexico
Layouts planned for Spanish text and local labelling, with first concepts usually within 48 hours.
Made in our own factory
Rigid and printed boxes from 500 units, with a digital proof and 3D mockup before print.
Shipped to Mexico
By air for speed or by sea for volume, assembled or flat-packed.
Labelling and compliance
Labelling in Mexico
Food and drink labelling in Mexico follows NOM-051, which requires black octagonal front-of-pack warning seals for products high in calories, sugars, fats or sodium. COFEPRIS regulates health products, and labels must be in Spanish.
Last reviewed: 28 October 2026
- Mandatory information in Spanish.
- NOM-051 octagonal warning seals on many foods and drinks.
- Restrictions on characters and promotions on products with warning seals.

FAQ
Questions from Mexico
- How do NOM-051 warning seals affect design?
- Black octagonal seals must appear on the front of many foods and drinks. We design the front panel around them from the start.
- Do you design mezcal and tequila labels?
- Yes. We design bottle labels and gift boxes from the text you and your adviser supply.
- Air or sea: which should I choose?
- Air for launches and urgent stock; sea for production volumes where the timeline allows. We quote both so you can compare.
- Can collapsible rigid boxes reduce my shipping cost?
- Yes. They ship flat, so many more fit in each carton, which cuts freight volume and storage. We compare assembled and flat options in your quote.
