Packaging design for retail: shelf visibility first
Shelf visibility is decided at a distance. Shoppers scan a shelf from two or three metres away and notice blocks of colour, strong shapes and simple marks before they read anything. We design with that in mind and test concepts in shelf mockups, both as a single pack and as a block of facings.
Once a shopper picks up the pack, it needs to answer three questions quickly: what is it, why is it better and is it for me. We set a clear hierarchy so the answer is on the front, with details on the sides and back.
Retail package design that retailers like
Retail package design also has to work for the store. Buyers care about shelf space, stacking, damage in transit and how easily staff can restock. Shelf-ready cases that open into a display, cartons that stack straight and clear barcodes all make your product easier to stock.
Many retailers publish packaging guidelines for suppliers. We work to your retailer's requirements for case sizes, barcodes and labelling, which you can obtain from your buyer.
Displays and point of sale
Counter displays and floor units can lift sales for new or impulse products. We design displays that match your packaging, hold the right number of units and assemble easily in store. Because we make printed boxes and displays in our own factory, we can size them to your products.
For launches we can design a complete retail kit: retail cartons, shelf-ready cases, a counter display and a shipping carton, all using one design system.
From retail brief to production
You share your products, target retailers, competitors and any retailer guidelines. We reply with questions and a fixed quote, then present concepts in shelf mockups, usually within 48 hours of an agreed brief.
After you approve the digital proof, we produce cartons, cases and displays in our factory from 500 units, with worldwide shipping.
